Book railway tickets from your mobile in 10 seconds

Getting a ticket from the railway counter was once a big challenge for every passenger. The new technology of the railways has now freed the passengers from the hassle of this crowd. Passengers can get their tickets within just ten seconds with the help of their mobile.

According to the Public Relations Office of North Central Railway Prayagraj Division, to promote Digital India, North Central Railway has started the facility of payment through QR code at the ticket counters of railway stations. This facility will provide permanent solution to the problems faced by passengers during transactions. Earlier, problems like overcharging due to lack of change while purchasing the ticket and mistakes during cash payment are being eliminated.

How to book tickets using QR code

For this, it is necessary to have UPI app in your mobile. Banners of QR code have been put up at railway stations. As soon as you scan the QR code with the scanner of the mobile, you will reach the ticket booking section directly. After this, you can get a general ticket as soon as you make the payment. With this facility, your ticket is issued within just ten seconds. Earlier this facility was started in South India. Now the railway is gradually expanding it in UP. This will give relief to the passengers from the crowd at the counter.

 Freedom from push-pull

According to the railways, payment through QR code will promote the Digital India campaign of the Government of India. For passenger convenience, North Central Railway has provided the facility of payment through QR code at two UTS, two PRS in Prayagraj division, 40 UTS, four PRS in Jhansi division and 44 UTS counters in Agra division.

You can make payment through UPI app

According to Railway Public Relations Officer Amit Kumar Singh, in the near future, this facility will be made available at 272 counters in Prayagraj division, 158 in Jhansi division and 89 in Agra division, totaling 519 other counters. According to him, payment facility through QR code will be available at a total of 611 counters in North Central Railway.
