Raksha Bandhan-2024: Raksha Bandhan, a festival symbolizing the love of brothers and sisters, will be celebrated this year on Sawan Purnima, 19th August. On the festival, sisters will tie a Raksha Sutra on their brother’s wrist and take a vow from them to protect them. This year, special yogas and coincidences are going to be formed on the last day of the month of Sawan and on the day of Raksha Bandhan.
According to the scholars of astrology, on the day of Sawan Purnima, Shravan Nakshatra is being formed along with Sarvarth Siddha Yog, Ravi Yog, Shobhan Yog. Along with this, Sawan Purnima is on Monday. On this day, Chandradev will enter Aquarius. Lord Shiva himself is the lord of Chandradev.
On this day, Sun, Mercury and Venus are conjoined in Leo. This is forming Shukraditya, Budhaditya and Lakshmi Narayan Yog, Trigrahi Yog. Due to planets and yogs, some zodiac signs will be blessed by Lord Shiva as well as Shanidev.
Keep these items in the Rakhi thali:
Roli, Kumkum, Akshat (whole rice), yellow mustard seeds, lamp, Rakhi, coconut, sweets and clothes or handkerchief for brother.
