England’s legendary cricketer committed suicide

Amanda told that Thorpe took his own life after battling depression and anxiety for a long time.

In an interview with former England captain Michael Atherton, Amanda shared information about Thorpe’s death on August 5. Thorpe’s death was first announced by the England and Wales Cricket Board. Amanda said that Graham had been struggling with both mental and physical challenges for a long time and eventually took his own life. He played 100 Tests and 82 ODIs for England. During this time, he scored more than 9 thousand runs.

He had tried to commit suicide 2 years ago as well

Let us tell you that Thorpe had also tried to commit suicide in May 2022. ‘The Times’ quoted Thorpe’s wife as saying, “Despite having his wife and two daughters, whom he loved and who loved him, he did not recover. Ceremony in memory of Thorpe

Amanda said, “Graham had been suffering from severe depression and anxiety for the past few years. Due to this, he made a serious attempt to take his own life in May 2022, which resulted in him being in the ICU for a long time.

Foundation named after Thorpe

Amanda added, “Despite the glimmers of hope, he continued to suffer from depression and anxiety, which sometimes became very severe. We supported him as a family and tried many treatments, but unfortunately none of them really worked.” The family is now considering setting up a foundation in Thorpe’s name.
