iPhone 16: Big update regarding display before launch

Apple iPhone 16: Users are eagerly waiting for the iPhone 16 series. It is expected to be launched soon. Ahead of the launch, a report has claimed that the production of display panels for these smartphones has started. According to the report, Samsung Display and LG Display are making OLED displays for the upcoming iPhone series. Apple expects more sales of its phones this time, so it has asked the supplier to make more units than last year. An old report also said that the iPhone 16 Pro model could have a bigger battery.

Suppliers started production

According to a report by South Korea publication ET News, Apple has asked its display supplier to start mass production of display units. After this, Samsung Display and LG Display have started making OLED panels completely. According to the report, the production of OLED panels started last month. This happened because Apple needs more display units. The company hopes that the new Apple Intelligence features will lead to more smartphone sales. This year, the company has ordered Samsung Display to make 8 crore display panels, while LG Display will deliver 4.3 crore units.

Who will benefit more?

According to the publication, LG Display will benefit the most from this increased demand. Its supply has increased by more than 1 crore units compared to last year. It will meet more than 30 percent of Apple’s total display shipments. This happened because the company got approval for mass production of iPhone 15 series displays late and was unable to complete the units on time. A separate report claims that the battery capacity can be increased in both iPhone 16 Pro models. The iPhone 16 Pro may have a 3,577mAh battery, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max may have a 4,676mAh battery. However, Apple does not officially disclose the battery capacity of its smartphones.
