Won the pre quarter finals

Aman wrestled brilliantly in the pre-quarterfinals. In the first round, 29-year-old Egorov looked a little troubled and had to seek medical help for his knee after Aman’s ‘all out’ attack. The young Indian wrestler did not let his opponent make a comeback. Aman scored two more points by doing a ‘takedown’ and took a 10-0 lead, while there were two minutes left for the match to end.

Anshu disappointed

Indian women wrestler Anshu Malik disappointed. She lost 2-7 to two-time Olympic medalist and fifth seed Helen Lucy Maroulis in the pre-quarterfinals of the 57 kg freestyle event. Anshu, who is participating in her second Olympics, will have to hope that Maroulis reaches the final to play in the repechage. In the first round, America’s Maroulis dominated from the beginning and took the lead. Anshu looked very defensive in this. In the second round as well, Maroulis continued the same performance and scored 5 points, while Anshu, who was trying to make a comeback, could score only two points.
