Ford to hit Indian roads again!

The giant vehicle manufacturer Ford may return to India again. Company chief Jim Farley and his entire team are considering a new plan to return to India. Ford had shut down its Indian business in the year 2021. If the company decides to return, then Ford drivers will get the most relief. Actually, some people are still fond of driving Ford cars. When Ford cars are not available in the country, they are forced to turn to other brands.

Planning to make electric cars

If the company returns, this time Ford will make new investments and will focus on making electric cars and environment-friendly cars. Apart from this, cars will also be exported from the country. The company has prepared an internal report on the possibility of returning to India and the growing potential in the market here. Sources associated with the company said that all the top officials of Ford Motors will consider this plan. They claimed that it is expected that they will like this plan.

Eco Sport and Figo are favourite cars.
According to a news published in Times of India, Ford had invested more than 2 billion dollars in India. Along with this, the company also got success on the basis of cars like Eco Sport and Figo. Now the company feels that the sale of cars in India will increase rapidly. Actually, the sale of cars is decreasing in western countries. The company’s business is not doing well in China and Europe, so now Ford’s hopes are pinned on India. A source said, it seems that it is not right for Ford to stay away from the Indian market. Especially when buyers are still liking this brand.

Ford is changing its mind to leave India
Actually, last year it was revealed that Ford is changing its mind to leave India. It had cancelled the deal of selling its Chennai plant to Sajjan Jindal’s JSW company. The company had already sold its Gujarat plant to Tata Motors. When a Ford spokesperson was asked about this, he said, ‘We are still looking for good alternatives for the Chennai plant and we do not have any information to share right now.’

The news published in TOI claimed that even if Ford decides to return to India, it may take about a year to start making cars in the Chennai factory. A lot of work will have to be done along with the legal process. Along with this, the factory as well as the machines will have to be made capable of making cars again.

Ford Company could not do any good business even after being in the Indian market for more than 30 years. The company worked alone and also partnered with Mahindra. The two companies came together for the first time in the late 90s and then again around 2019. But both times these partnerships could not move forward.
