₹8400 crores of power companies stuck due to coup in Bangladesh, Adani suffers record loss!

Gautam Adani power company: Violence in the neighboring country Bangladesh is not ending. There was also a coup in the name of reservation. Sheikh Hasina also had to leave the post of Prime Minister, but the fire of violence has not ended yet. The coup in Bangladesh has also affected India. Especially those companies have suffered a big blow, which have made huge investments, companies which are linked to Bangladesh.

India’s second richest industrialist Gautam Adani is also included in this list, who may suffer a huge loss. 5 big power companies of the country including Adani may suffer a loss of more than one billion dollars i.e. about Rs 8400 crore.

Gautam Adani suffers record loss

Companies supplying electricity to Bangladesh may suffer huge losses. Due to violence, the payment of the companies has been stuck. 5 power companies including Adani have dues of more than 1 billion dollars, which have to be paid to the Bangladesh government, but due to political instability there, these companies may suffer huge losses. Gautam Adani has a lot of money stuck in Bangladesh. Adani Power supplies electricity to Bangladesh through Godda Power Plant in Jharkhand. Since the coup, the payment of the companies has been stuck. Adani Power has to pay about 800 million dollars i.e. more than 6700 crore rupees in exchange for supplying electricity to Bangladesh, but due to violence and coup, doubts have started looming over this.

These companies also invested in Bangladesh

Apart from Adani Power, PTC India and Power Grid Corporation of India also supply electricity to Bangladesh. SEIL Energy India and government power NTPC supply power to Bangladesh. The payment of bills of these companies is also stuck. Despite the payment being stuck, Indian companies have not stopped supplying electricity to Bangladesh at present. It is believed that due to the strong relationship between India and Bangladesh, the companies have maintained the supply till now.

…then Bangladesh can sink into darkness

Even though the companies have not stopped the power supply till now due to the strong relations between the two countries, but after the delay in payment of dues, the companies will not be able to do so for a long term. If Bangladesh, which is facing violence and political instability, does not resolve the issue of payment of power companies soon, then it may have to plunge into darkness. Without payment, it will be difficult for the companies to continue the power supply in the long term. If Bangladesh does not pay the dues of the rest of the power companies including Adani Power, then the company can stop the supply of electricity to Bangladesh. In such a situation, Bangladesh will face the crisis of being plunged into darkness.
